This week is turning into a very busy week for me. Not only have I had a few Etsy orders I need to make but I am prepping for my daughters 2nd birthday party, and trying to get out all my fall decor. This means making some fall decor as well. I LOVE FALL. And now we live in New Mexico we actually get a fall season. I'm so excited.
Anyways, last week I decided to make one more tunic for my daughter before it gets cold and we are covering ourselves up in coats. The inspiration was actually from my quilt blocks. I wanted something simple and sweet that could transition to fall.
Hence the ruffled panel top. It is a basic a line with a ruffled panel down the center. Then I made gathered ruffle sleeves. The bottom started out as just a boarder but I ended up turning it up word so that it created a kind of cuff along the bottom which I love. It added dimension and something a little different. I finished it off with a ribbon bow in the front. I just love whipping out tops like this for her, to give her some personal style.
Next time I think I will make a tutorial because this kind of top is super easy to make and there are so many variations. If you lengthen it it can be a dress as well. The hardest part is the sleeves (which I am still working on getting right).

This looks like one of those tops that once you learn, you can do so many variations! I love the cuff on the bottom! If you did a tute for it, I would love to add it to my arsenal of sewing patterns. Thanks!
