My internet has been out this week. I hate when that happens. It is amazing how much I depend on the internet. Without it I feel like I am detached from the world. Sad but true. But it is back and running therefore I spent my evening surfing the internet, gazing through Pinterest, and checking out my favorite blogs. There is so much happening in the blogesphere these days I am flooded with inspiration. If only I had more time. Here are some projects that caught my eye.
Chocolate Zucchini Bread-kids beware. Tasty and healthful.
The title speaks for itself. Haven't tried it but if it works I am sold.
Clay pot lighthouse. I need to make one of these for Christian's nautical room.
Concrete steps that look like vintage pillows. These are just fantastic and amazing for a secret garden.
Recycled Can Chimes- I think this would be a fantastic kids craft and a great learning activity focusing on sizes and comparisons.
Happy Pinning Everyone!

Pinterest Summer 2013-Week 1
This weeks pins are totally crafty. I haven't been on Pinterest a lot lately. NO TIME! TOO MANY PINS! TRY NOT TO GET OVERWHELMED! These are some of the themes that run through my mind when I look at Pinterest. Anyone else have the same thoughts?
But like most of you I am sure, I just can't seem to stay away. So with my limited glances here are my favorites to kick off the summer.
Animal Ladder Back Dress
I always love a simple dress with a twist. Plus the tangerine print is amazing.
Toilet Paper Roll Cars
GENIUS. Perfect for boys in summer. Especially since I go through toilet paper twice as fast now that I have two kids potty trained. Why is that? HUM
Crochet Edging for flannel blankets
Beautiful. And this tutorial seams like something I could handle with my limited crochet experience.
Messenger Bag the opens to a car play mat
Can we say church inspired? This will be a great gift for Christian for his 1st b-day to play with during those 3 long hours of church before he gets to enter the nursery. Only 9 more months, but who's counting?
Bold Patchwork Skirt
This skirt is just too beautiful and fun not to pin. Definitely goes into the "I Can Make That" series.
That is 5 more projects added to my ever growing list.

Pinterest Finds-Summer #1
I have been avoiding Pinterest lately. Mainly because I am on this new diet and I am trying to avoid all the yummy delicious and oh so bad for you treats I always find on Pinterest. However, I decided to be strong this week and glanced through a few times.
Man am I glad that I did. I felt so inspired by some amazing ideas.
I did pin a few treats, Shhhhh don't tell anyone. I am saving them for a rainy day...or maybe just a cheat day, hehe.
I love this simple knit dress. It looks so comfortable but stylish. Definitely a DIY project on my list.
Lime and Coconut Chicken. Three ingredients on my diet list that I am going to try this week.
Fabric covered foam board ceiling. What a fun idea for a playroom or kids room. I love the happy colors.
Modern accents. I love these tall vases. Plus tulips are my favorite flower. Simply elegant.
Peanut Butter Sandwich Cookies With Nutella Marshmallow Cream Cheese Filling Recipe need I say more? CHEAT LIST!!
Noodle Horses. Fun idea for a summer Western themed party.

Pinterest Finds: Birthdays
This week was my son's 5th birthday. We didn't throw a party for him this year, just family and presents. But I did make cupcakes for him to take to preschool. He wanted Ninja Turtle cupcakes so I did a little research on how to make the famous turtles look their best. Here is what I came up with:
I made rainbow cupcakes with lemon cream cheese frosting. Then I used a rose tip for the masks, a small round tip for the eyes and mouth, and chocolate chips for the eye balls. I love how cartoon like they look, perfect for a 5 year old. He loved them!
We also put balloons on the front yard (paper balloons on wood sticks). When he walked out in the morning he had a great surprise.
Here are some other birthday ideas to start your own traditions:
PIRATE PARTY
PRINCESS CUPCAKES
BIRTHDAY CAKE PANCAKES
BIRTHDAY DOOR SURPRISE
BIRTHDAY INTERVIEW
RAINBOW CAKE

Pinterest Finds: Easter
With Easter next week I have been really behind on all my activities. I think it falling in March this year has rushed my life and I realized I haven't done any Easter crafts with my kids. So this week I searched for projects on Pinterest and found some fun pins that are grown up and kid friendly.
Cute idea for making bunny rolls
Paper plate chick, because it doesn't always have to be a bunny.
Fabric wrapped eggs, great for your scrap stash.
Glitter polka dot eggs, no dye needed.
Easy chocolate covered bunnies, a great Easter treat for brunch.
Easter Subway Art printable.
Resurrection Eggs lesson, great for FHE
With Easter only 1 week away I better get crackn' (little egg humor)

Pinterest 2013- Jan #2
I totally forgot to post my favorite Pins last week. Sorry the blog might be a little scattered over the next few weeks because my sister is visiting (YAY) and we are moving in only 2 weeks. My house is not packed at all and my husband and I decided that instead of storing all our old furniture for the next 3 1/2 years we are just going to sell as much of it as we can. So if you live in the Albuquerque area we are having a HUGE sale on all our furniture and other home items.
Even with all the chaos around here I have been slowly working on a few crafts with my sister while she is visiting, so there will be some great posts coming this week.
For now feast your eyes on these great pins from this week, I am so inspired. I just never feel like I have enough time.
Adorable ruffled dress. This is a Spring DIY for sure.
Best IPhone/IPad apps for Kindergarten-aged kids. I got an Ipad for Christmas and an IPhone for my birthday so I am all over this post.
Lotus blossom skirt pocket tutorial. Adorable little pockets for skirts and spring pants.
Ribbon Roll tutu. My daughter is obsessed with tutus. No tutorial so maybe I will have to come up with something :)
PomPom scarf. I love these colors. Translates perfect from winter to spring.
