Child sweatshirt

I have the hardest time finding sweatshirts that I like for my kids. Either they are boring or they have some funky thing on it like weird jewels or a funny animal. So after searching for a cute sweatshirt for my daughter I decided to take things into my own hands and make one. I have to say it turned out adorable. It is fully lined so there were no exposed seems or ratty edges to fold over. But the best part was picking the fabric I wanted and the buttons. Unfortunately I choose a flannel and so it doesn't stretch and it has shrunk. Next time I will pick a fabric with more give. I still think it is so cute. And this style could work for a boy as well so I will probably make one for my son too.

I am planning on making another one of different material with a few changes. I'll share it when I am done.

I love this!! Stumbled here via Sew Much Ado, and so glad I did. Did you use a pattern or another sweatshirt? I'd love to see an adult one too :)
