I love the color and style. I think that I would make a few adjustments if I did this again, like ruffling the lace to give it more of the look in the picture or maybe using elastic thread. But all and all I think they turned out pretty nice. Especially for under $3.00.

Fun Find Friday-Boot Socks
Another great Fun Find Friday these boot socks are so cute. I saw them on Pinterest and wanted them instantly. However they are way out of my price range. So what do I usually do when I see something I can't afford...I make it myself.
Unfortunately this was totally an experiment so I didn't make a tutorial. But here is what I did. I took a pair of over the knee socks ($2.80 at Forever 21) and some lace I already owned. I cut the side of the socks about 3 inches down. Then I fit the lace into the cut and around the top of the socks. I started by sewing (with the right sides together) the lace to the top of the socks stretching the sock top tight to account for stretch and comfort when I wear them. Then I proceeded to sew the cut back together with the lace in between. Add the buttons and you are done.
