Camera Strap Covers-The New Accessory

Camera strap covers are very popular right now. Who would have thought that covering your boring black camera strap to your favorite SLR camera would be so easy? Well it is and I am going to show you how in a step-by-step process.

1. Pick out your fabric. You will need a back and a front. This can be the same or different. Once you have picked it measure 2 strips (1 of each) that are 25inches long and 2.5inches wide).

2. Sew with right sides together a straight stitch down one long side.

3. Open the fabric and press a 1/4 inch from each end. Then flip that and press another 1/4 inch. (This will give you a nice end with no exposed edges). **If you want to add some padding you can add fusible fleece before you press the ends. Just add the fleece to one wrong side.
4. Top stitch each pressed end down.
5. Fold again with right sides together and stitch down the remaining open side with a straight stitch.

6. Turn the camera strap cover piece right side out pulling it from one of the ends. Then press to make flat.

7. Finally top stitch down the sides to make a nice flat surface. This way it holds in place better once on the camera strap and won't shift.

8. Slip the cover over your existing camera strap and enjoy the compliments!
