Yesterday my mom and I took a little road trip and went to the Quilt, Craft, and Sewing Festival in Tucson. We arrived half an hour early because we were sure we would win one of the 20 prizes given to the early attendees. My mom and I generally don't get lucky and win any random drawings on our own. Put us together and the odds of us winning get even worse. We didn't win anything and both just laughed.
We had so much fun participating in hands on demonstrations and attending a couple of short classes. learning to etch glass |
deciding we NEED a ruffler foot |
I am quite the sewing amateur and previously did not know about heat erasable pens. I was impressed and am excited to use my new $3 pen on sewing projects.
I almost bought a kit to make a pretty scarf but we never made it back to the Tenaj Creations booth. I would love to make one!!!!
We saw so many great quilting booths with products and beautiful quilts on display. I was definitely intrigued by this fun Halloween quilt:
I spoke with the designer and learned about a really fun online class option. Creative Pursuits will soon have a few different ways for you to participate in classes from home. For only $5 per month you have access to video tutorials and printable patterns for the monthly table runners. The October runner is so cute!!did you notice you can customize the cat with your own photo? CUTE! |
My mom and I were exhausted by the end of our day!
I definitely want to attend again next year!
