Big Pocket Dress

I am in love with easy, everyday dresses. When I was a little girl I insisted on wearing dresses every day until I was in 2nd grade. Needless to say my mom made me a lot of dresses. I think my little Lizzy is just like her mama because she loves to wear dresses. Every day she picks her clothing and it is almost always a dress. However, she is a very busy girl who likes to get dirty so the dresses need to be light and every day casual dresses. She has reached the 2 1/2 year mark now which means she has grown out of the 2T and into the 3T and I have been sewing like crazy. I made her a simple button up dress this week with big pockets to carry all the rocks and chalk she needs.

I love the key fabric, (Michael Miller, Secret Garden Lock and Key), and the contrasting big buttons.

I also love the little feminine touch of ruffles at the collar.

It is easy to move in and comfortable, perfect for my little Lizzy bug.
